What we tested on this site, what is still untested and how to tell us when something does not work for you.

What we tested

On the date shown at the end of this page, an automated test opened every page of the site in all three languages, on 1440- and 390-pixel screens. At 768 pixels, it opened every page outside the service catalogue and one page of each catalogue type, which share the same template. That is 552 page views.

  • Automated WCAG 2.1 rules, levels A and AA (axe-core): no critical or serious failures.
  • Keyboard: the menu opens, closes with Esc and returns focus to its button. The character and language pickers work with Enter and the arrow keys.
  • Touch: every link and button is at least 44 by 44 pixels.
  • Contrast: text on the accent colour has a ratio of at least 4.5 to 1.
  • Small screens: no page scrolls sideways at 390 pixels.
  • Reduced motion: when the system asks for less motion, animations are switched off.

What we have not tested yet

Automated tests find only some of the problems. We have not yet tested the site with screen readers or with people who use assistive technology.

For that reason we do not claim WCAG conformance. We publish what was measured and update this page after each round of testing.

How the site is built

  • Each page declares its language.
  • A link lets you skip straight to the content.
  • Each page has a single main heading.
  • Images have alternative text.
