How we work

Discovery

We start with the systems you already have, the people who use them and the business rules. The result is a written scope, with risks and open questions in plain sight.

When the case calls for it, this stage becomes a technical discovery of its own, with defined deliverables.

Delivery

Work moves in small parts, each published to a test environment your team can open. Changes of direction are discussed before they become code.

• Code and documentation in your company's repository, under the contract.
• Technical decisions recorded, with the reason for each.
• Access to your accounts and credentials limited to what the work requires.
• Automated tests from the first delivery.

Maintenance

After launch, a system still needs care: fixes, updates, alerts and small improvements. Response times are agreed by contract, under maintenance and evolution.

Who we work with

With your technology team, where there is one, and with the agency or team that builds the front-end. When a service needs an outside specialist, such as payroll or penetration testing, we say so on the service page and work alongside them.

What we don't do

• Front-end, apps and design as a service of our own. We build the back and agree the API contract with whoever builds the front.
• Regulated roles. Balkan is not a payment institution, does not take part in Open Finance and does not provide accounting, payroll or legal services.
• Deadlines or prices before we understand the case.
